| The Beginning of Something Great
Greetings from Tony July 6, 2007
The Adjustment of New Aimers and New Opportunities From the new aimers being here it’s been a challenge to re-learn how to live with each other, because we’ve all be raised differently. But the from them being here brings more people to questioning why we are here. What is our purpose and our desire of living here. We’ve had a lot going on this past two months of groups coming down from the United States. The Nebraska Group came down last July 5th for a week. They were here on a mission trip and seeing what things are like here in Leon. When they were here they worked with the Children’s home loving on the children that need the love, and cleaning anything that needed done. They put on a Carnival day for kids to come and have fun. Through this we got connections, and got to meet a lot of new people. They wSere here for a week and they did a lot more. When this group was here in Leon I was speaking on Sunday morning. (What a rush for me.) It was difficult of course but I know that I touched someone that was sitting in the crowd. There was a group that came down for LST (Lets Start Talking) Most of them new Spanish already and that helped a lot. While they were here they stayed in the Church building and got to know a lot of people from the neighbor hood. From them leaving they left a lot of work for us aimers to pick up. From them leaving we are taking up the job on helping the readers and working with them. During the week I have two readers and more coming. For the other aimers they are going to be working with them also. A couple of weeks ago I ran into a guy that was asking for the time, and well I had a hard time with getting the numbers out and he asked me if I knew Spanish. (In English) I told him I do and we started talking. He is wanted to learn more English and wanting to hang with all of us. So I’m going to meet with him tonight and talk with him. He asked why I was here and what Religion we are. I just told him that we are followers of Jesus Christ. The guy seems interested and is wanting to know more. It’s amazing how God works in ways you wouldn’t think of. One thing that I have learned while I’m here in Leon Mexico is this.. Lean on God. Get into his word and search after him. He’s a God of Love and wants a relationship with you. Change your life for what he wants you to be. I miss you all and I love you!
I constantly think about you and wondering about the work there.. Tony (tbone25428@hotmail.com)

| Encouragement From the Brethren~! First Off. I thank my God for you! I can see that God is working and working through you. I Love to see that my family is growing not just in size.. but in strength in Jesus Christ our Savior. When I was at home (with my family --you guys---) the encouragement I got was something that I cannot explain to you. Going to a foreign field is something that is very hard, because seeing for example.. Teddy growing up knowing God, seeing Eli’s kids bigger and it’s hard not being there being able to love on you guys.. But I know that there is a mission out there that God has for all of us and I know that he called me. It’s not easy being a Disciple of Christ, but there are people that are getting to know who Jesus Christ truly is.
Coming Back to Leon When I came home, I was re-newed and ready to go out again. From the time I left Leon and came back there were 5 baptisms (praise God), and another that happened late at night when I was home. (Please Pray that they will grow and know that they have to count the cost of Being a Disciple and how to live a life for Christ.) The things that are going on here are amazing. We are getting to know more people because they wonder why we are here and not living in the United States. It’s encouraging seeing people changing there lives and living for God. Last night I was able to speak in front of the Church (it was nerve racking but I loved it.) I was talking to them about the most important Commandment and that is to love God with all your heart and all your mind and all your soul. I messed up on speaking Spanish to them, but the encouraging thing is, I got my point across and I made people think. The next day we went to a different part of Leon.. It is called Los Sauces.. It’s new Church plant that is going on. (Pray for this new Church plant Pray the prayer of Luke 10:2!!) Today we (Chris, Heather, Chris Johnson -our coordinator- and I were getting some water, and then praying to meet a contact and to find an area so that when people from the states come down we can do a VBS and other things. We want that area because I know that we can make a big impact on the area out at Los Sauces. During the time we were praying a Mexican came up and asked us if we were Christians, and God answered our prayers. We asked for a contact and we found a lot there, and we found an area that we will be able to use when people are here visiting. Later on we meet a man named Mike, he is a missionary down in that area also. It was interesting hearing some of the stories on what went on over the past years while he was there. He was giving us advice and what to look out for. Because satan is out there and he wants to destroy the Church and he will use anyone. God is growing his Church here. I know at times we want things done the way we want them, but God is showing us a lot on how to give everything to him. We plant the seed and God grows. Later on us aimers are getting together with some of the youth and or the college (anyone that can come) we are getting together to praise God and it will be a good time because we will get to know the youth and not only us but the youth will have a better relationship. Us guys (Carl, Chris and I) are switching off and giving a thought, and from the questions being asked it explodes with all of us wanting to know more and more.. Keep Praying for Leon.! There is a lot of work to do down here and the workers are few. I thank you guys for your hearts and I miss yea and Love Yea..! Keep strong in the Faith and don’t allow things to take your Focus of Jesus Christ.. Love You! Your Brother Fighting for the Lost... ~Tony~

| To My Family | The Love Of God Is Amazing~! | October 28, 2006 |
his month has been awesome. I see God doing amazing things here, the Church here in Leon Mexico is growing not just in size but spiritually. We had the Toluca Aimers come and visit us. It was very encouraging plus with all the singing going on. We were able to show them around Leon, and have them do what we do during the week with visiting orphanages, studying with people and just having fun doing so. It was very cool to hear stories from them also. Well the work here in Leon has been ever so good. I’ve picked up another study with Masha and we are visiting the family once every week to encourage our sister and spiritually mentor her. I remember riding home last Thursday and I was looking out my window of the bus that we were taking home, and I saw things that you don’t see in the states. Electrical wires coming from every where and going to one main wire. The wires were on the ground, and right beside it was a man that didn’t have legs and didn’t look well. I can see that these people don’t only need help with living life, but they need Jesus Christ. I was thinking about all the things that we have in the states that can easily distract us from Gods word and reading it. I pray that you guys are making God number one in your lives. Pray for Leon, pray for the work that is going on here and please pray that men that we are monitoring in the Church will step up and be leaders. Two Sundays ago was my day for presenting a lesson for the children’s chapel, I did it on creation. It was very interesting and at times very difficult because of not knowing the language fully. I remember spending endless time practicing reading through Genesis 1 and some of chapter 2 to get it down so the kids can understand, and working on the questions. We have a schedule to go by that one of the aimers made. We all rotate back and fourth so that we are not only growing closer to Christ, but we are learning the language better. Last night we all went to a all night prayer. We got there around 7 at night and we came home around 9am the next day. Talk about hard staying up all night. But it was an awesome time to pray to God, and get everything every person you want to pray for that you know out. During that time there was a huge storm going on, and we were under a big canape with no walls, so we not only saw and felt the power of God, but we felt his creation of rain. It was a lot of fun and the missionaries do this every year and take who ever wants to come.. I love you Guys and thank you for what you are doing. Love yall Tony
| Greetings Family 1 John 2:6 "Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did." September 18, 2006 Disciple + Field = understanding Gods calling.. (doesn’t matter where you are, as long as your delivering a gift that God gave us, and has commanded us through the scriptures to do.)
rom my time here in Leon Mexico I can see so many things that are happening that praise God. Seeing Mexicans question why we are here, and don’t understand why, even when we tell them. We’ve had a couple more baptisms here in Leon, I don’t truly remember how many since we’ve been here but I know it’s more than 12. Praise God! When I walk down the streets and seeing people walking I’m hurt. I know that they don’t know the gift that God gave us. They think that paying off there sins can help, and it can’t. Pray for Leon! We’ve been focusing on Spanish and Spiritual nurturing. I remember hearing Kris Smith say, "The main reason AIMERS "fall away" is due to the Lack of staying in the Word." I know that God has convicted me to stay in his word that he gave me. But then I started to think about home, and this same principle applies to everyone else that is a Christian... I know how hard it is to read Gods word at times in your lives.. Sometimes you find yourself some how being to busy for God’s word. I encourage you guys to think twice about the calling that God has called us to do. I know that there are people out there that have the message a little wrong. We need to show them the truth from scripture, and how do we know where it is in scripture... Is from reading our Bibles. I’ve come to the conviction on how can we preach Jesus if we don’t truly know him from reading. My time here is amazing.. I can’t thank you enough because being able to experience what it is like to study with missionaries, to work with missionaries is amazing. I’ve learned a lot from my family here and I know that God’s going to show me more. I think about you guys a lot and wonder how you are doing with growing in God. I know that last time I visited home there were problems going on with gossip and other things. I’m happy to hear from my sister that the youth is working on this area. On September the 16 was Independence Day for Mexico. We (4 aimers and two families) went to Guanajuato to celebrate with the Mexicans there. It was amazing, there were people after people there. Carl, Chris Johnson (my coordinator) Omar and I wanted to get some corn dogs and it took ten minutes to get there through the crowd. While we were there we ran into a lot of Americans that are living in Guanajuato. We just wanted to know our story on why we were there, so we got to proclaim Jesus. (I love going there because at times its hard because I want to talk to people about Christ but I can’t because of the language barrier. But I know in the future that I will get it. A couple of weeks ago I was able to visit another Church of Christ that is here In Mexico. It was very encouraging seeing other brothers and sisters working and strengthening the Church there. For our Sunday worship it’s growing lowly, we have our ups and downs but that’s normally how it is. This coming Thursday we are going to work on our roof because from the rain there is leaks and we want to get that squared away. Everything is amazing, and the experience is a once in a life time.. Keep strong in the Faith.. And I love all of you! Take care.. Your Brother Tony
